Abstract

271,639. Compin, O. C. May 20, 1926. Cushions for vehicle seats are composed of leaf springs d secured at their rear ends to the seat frame and connected by a rod g at their front ends to form a floating edge, there being auxiliary wire springs e which provide support intermediately of the ends of the leaf springs. The rear-ends of the leaf springs are detachably mounted in pockets b on the rear frame bar and the wire springs are received in holes in the front bar and carry plates h<1> detachably secured to the underside of the leaf springs by turnbuttons d<3>. The cover j is detachably secured at the rear edge of the seat frame by press-studs l. Specification 13849/12 is referred to.
