Supporting. - An electric reading lamp a is mounted in a socket b connected by a flexible metallic tubular casing f through which the leads pass with a "slip-on" clip c adapted to be attached to the cover or pages of a book d. The casing f is formed of a. coil of wire adapted to remain in any position in which it may be set by bending. The clip c preferably consists of a socket c<3> for the reception of the end of the casing f and finger pieces c<1>, c<2> for attachment to the book. The socket b and clip c may be made of aluminium. The socket b may carry a shade or reflector e.
