Abstract

269,715. Fonteyn, C. March 19, 1926. Collapsable seats.-A collapsable chair comprises back, seat and legs i, f, a, b so pivoted together that they may all be folded so that the seat and back assume a position of parallelism and conceal between them the folded legs, struts and supports. The back i is shown pivoted at l to the members c, and the seat f is pivoted at h to the members d, carrying at its rear a clip m which engages the cross-bar l when the chair is in use. A member n, with a carrying handle p, is pivoted to the back i, and stops a<1>, b<1> are provided on the legs a, b. Fig. 1 shows the chair ready for use, and Fig. 2 shows the chair folded, and ready for carrying.
