Razors, safety. - The guard of a safety razor has a roller 11 on the side remote from the teeth 8 or equivalents of the guard, the roller being parallel with the cutting edge and contacting with the surface being shaved. As shown applied to an ordinary razor the guard comprises a channelform clip member 4 embracing the back of the blade, and carrying a comb secured by screws 9 and adjustable with respect to the cutting edge to vary the closeness of the shave. The comb has projections 10 or small set screws to space the comb away from the blade. The roller 11, preferably made from flat metal twisted to a double flute form, is journaled in lugs on the member 4. As applied to a double-edged razor, the roller is centrally placed between the cutting edges.
