Abstract

265,755. Baynes, F. W. Jan. 14, 1926. Cold accumulators.- Small or large sealed containers of frozen liquid, for use in place of loose ice for cooling glasses of beverage or refrigerating-chambers, are provided with filling tubes b, i, Figs. 2 and 4, depending into the interior, so that an air space is left above the liquid during charging, to allow for expansion upon freezing. For cooling beverages the container may comprise two cup-shaped pressed metal parts c, d, Fig. 2, soldered together at h, or a casting of similar shape. The tube b is fitted with a screw stopper a. Larger containers may be of rectangular shape with corrugated walls j, Fig. 4.
