Abstract

265,263. Barklie, R. H. D. Oct. 5, 1925. Metal foil.-A thin film of metal is prepared by depositing the metal, say silver, electrolytically on a cathode of another metal, say aluminium, that can be dissolved in a solvent, say caustic soda, that will not dissolve the film. The cathode is floated on the solvent and dissolves, leaving the film floating. The film is collected on a strip of celluloid and dried, and forms a fuse for small electric currents.
