Spring wheels.-A pneumatic tyre 7, formed with a ridge 8 to fit a groove 9 in an outer rigid protective rim 10, has beaded edges gripped in grooves 4, 41 formed in inner half-rims 3, 5. The half-rim 5 is detachably bolted to the half-rim 3 and the rim parts 3, 5 are formed with spaced lugs 12, between which and similar lugs 15 on the rim 10, are fitted tangential compensating springs 14, as shown in Fig. 2.
