Piston apparatus for discharging receptacles. - A grease gun comprises an outer casing which is rotated relatively to a screwed rod mounted therein to give a friction drive to the piston p which traverses the screw d axially to extrude the lubricant from the nozzle t, the lubricant passing from the body of the gun through a lateral passage g which terminates in an axial passage in the screw d. The friction device between the body a and the piston comprises a number of spring loaded plungers k working in radial recesses in a cylindrical piece on the plunger. Alternatively, a split spring positioned by a truncated member embodied in the plunger may serve as a friction device.
