Abstract

Surface markings and signs.-A traffic control line for road surfaces is formed of a series of interconnected hollow blocks, each composed of two superposed connected half-blocks, the lower half containing illuminating means and the upper half light-diffusing elements. The blocks are formed of an upper half a containing tapered glass prisms d held in position against packing h by apertured plates e secured by screws g, and a lower half b containing a recess for a lamp c and secured to the upper half by screws k. The lower halves have lateral flanges m by which adjacent blocks are bolted together and have cooperating curved terminal projections p and recesses o, so that the blocks can be arranged in a straight or curved line. A channel q is formed in the lower halves for the electric conductor. A terminal block u is shaped to fit two or more standard blocks. Packing l is provided between the halves of the blocks.
