Wired-wireless systems; multiplex signalling. -Modulated high-frequency carrier currents conveying different broadcast programmes are fed simultaneously from a plurality of polyphase high-frequency generators 1, 2, 3 into a polyphase electric power distribution system, shown to the right of the Figure. Even harmonics are suppressed by feeding the modulated carrier-frequencies f<1>, f<2>, f<3> from the generators 1, 2, 3 to the input circuits of three pairs of balanced highfrequency amplifiers 58, 59 and 60, 61, and 62, 63 respectively. The triple-frequency harmonics are suppressed by the use of a three-phase transmitter, the input and output circuits of the amplifying tubes 58 - - 63 being connected in gamma. Other harmonics are eliminated by the use of suitable tuning means, 92 - - 103 in the outgoing lines. The generators 1, 2, 3 are connected in series with the distributing system. Current from the generator 1 passes through raised inductances 4, 7; 5, 8; and 6, 9, connected in gamma, the other generators 2, 3 being similarly connected by paired inductances to the input of the amplifier tubes.
