Abstract

263,272. Bondesen, A. N. Nov. 10, 1925. Spray carburettors.-The carburettor comprises a U-shaped pipe 1<a>, 1, 1<b>, the limb 1<a> forming the air inlet and being slotted at 3 to expose the exhaust pipe 2 against which it is placed. Opposite the slot 3, fuel is injected through a pipe 7 from an intermediate tank 5 in communication at 6 with the main low level tank. Air is admitted past a conical valve 17 resiliently connected through rods 19, 23 and a spring 18 in the valve with a mixture throttle valve 25 actuated by an arm 26 and situated in front of the induction pipe 24. At starting the valve 17 can be closed independently by compressing the spring 18 and without affecting the rod 19. A baffle plate 28 may be fitted in the portion 1<a> of the tube.
