Abstract

262,092. Siemens & Halske Akt.- Ges. Nov. 27, 1925, [Convention date]. Gas analysis.-A pressure gauge 4 forming a part of an apparatus for testing flue gases &c. is sealed by running water which is automatically maintained at constant level e.g. by an overflow, and also serves for cooling the gas passing through a worm 5. The body of flowing water 18 into which the gauge 4 dips may previously have been employed in a suction pump 3. After passing over a steam trap 10 and through the worm 5, the gas to be tested is led through filtering material 6 and a throttle 8 to the indicating device 14 provided with several gas chambers 13. Thence it is conveyed to the suction pump by a pipe 16 communicating with the pressure gauge 4. Most of the parts are carried by a cover 2 of the vessel containing the liquid, the gauge and pump being attached to a separate insertion 25 bolted to the cover. The filter 7 also has a separate lid to allow access to a bolt 22 which tightens packing 23 around the gas pipe.
