Abstract

261,964. McClatchy, J. H. March 8, 1926. Slabs.-A building slab is composed of a mixture of crushed brick, cement and water, and is provided on its surface with grooves outlining the shapes of bricks and adapted to receive a filler to produce the effect of joints. The slabs are formed in moulds comprising a bottom 2 and side pieces 3. Pins 5 are forced through the mixture to form holes for securing means. The mixture may comprise one to eight parts of crushed brick and one part cement. The surface of the slab is treated with hydrochloric acid to expose the coloured aggregate.
