Abstract
261,403. Vulitch, V. A. de. Nov. 12, 1925, [Convention date]. Clips, band.-The end of a flexible tube 2, Fig. 4, is clamped on a rigid coupling 3 by a band 1 wrapped one or more times round the tube and tensioned and locked by a clamp 9, the metal band 1 having one end bent over a central crossbar 4 and the other end engaged by two split pins 7, 8 housed in loops 5. 6 in the clamp. The pins may have heads with eyes for a tommy-bar, polygonal-shaped for a wrench, or slotted for a screw-driver. Rotation of pin 7 tensions the hand while rotation of pin 8 locks it. Two clamps may be connected by a central pin 10, Fig. 6. The clamp may be formed from wire, as shown, or from sheet metal bent transversely or longitudinally.
