Abstract

261,140. Keene, E. W. W. Sept. 11, 1925. Rotary filters. - A number of wire strands e are stretched across the drum or like rotary members over the filtering medium so as to hold the medium in place and protect it from abrasion by the scraper which removes the cake. The wires may be fixed by means of flanges on the drum ends or rings as described in Specification 218,447. The ends of the wires are passed through inwardly inclined slots b in the flange a and are screw-threaded to receive washers and nuts h, which engage recesses formed in the flange at the outer ends of the slots.
