Abstract

258,636. Johnston, G. W. P. May 22, 1925. Stops.-A roller is resiliently mounted in a slotted and flanged U - shaped bracket a secured in a recess in a door &c., and adapted to engage the post or a plate m suitably bevelled and grooved to prevent slamming and rattling when closed. The spindle of the roller is housed in reduced parts of the slots b and recessed at each end for engagement by the shaped ends of a spring e which is supported on a part i of the bracket between the slots. The roller may be made of resilient material protected at the ends by washers k. In a modification the limbs of the bracket are connected to one member of an angle plate and the base is connected to the other member by a bar on which the spring is supported. The roller in this modification engages the post &c. through an opening in the angle plate.
