Abstract

A foot rest device 1 for allowing a user to exercise legs, ankles or feet comprises: a leg support portion 3 to receive the back of a user’s legs; a foot-contacting portion 5 and a support portion 7 of 20 to 80 cm length for supporting the leg support portion 3 and foot-contacting portion 5 relative to the ground the device is pivotable about at least one pivot point on or in relation to the support portion in a forward/backward direction relative to the user when using the device about a first transverse axis facilitated by extension/flex of a user’s knees, and the foot contacting portion 5 is resistively and resiliently moveable relative to the leg support portion 3. The device 1 may be pivotable about a second transverse axis. The height of the device above the ground may be adjustable and the device may include a stand.
