257,901. Barbaron, M. J. B. Sept. 3, 1925, [Convention date]. Channels in crank shafts.-A crank shaft 1 is mounted in bearings which comprise a cylindrical journal bearing 2 and a roller bearing 3. The roller bearing provides for the arcuate positioning of the shaft but the principal object of the cylindrical journal bearing 2 is to afford the circulation of lubricant through the ducts 4 - - 8 to the piston rod bearings 9.
