Abstract

Inking-apparatus; intaglio-plate printing.- In an intaglio printing-machine, the ink or colour is cooled before the printing operation. This may be effected by passing cold water through a jacket surrounding the ink trough, or by cooling the ink reservoir nr the pipes supplying ink therefrom to the trough. The water may have the ordinary temperature of the mains or may be cooled by a cooling-plant. The liquidity of the ink may be varied by varying the temperature of the cooling water.
