Abstract

According to the present invention there is provided a door entry system comprising: a status indicating door bell; and a portable controller. The status indicating door bell comprises: a user input interface adapted to receive a calling input from a calling user;a communication interface adapted to transmit a notification signal to a remotely located controller in response to the user input interface receiving the calling input, and to receive a notification response signal from the remotely located controller; and a status display unit adapted to display a plurality of status indicators. The status display unit is adapted to modify a displayed status indicator in response to the communication unit receiving a notification response signal.
