Abstract

Wireless tuning-apparatus, adjustment devices for.-In coil-holders for wireless purposes, the movable inductance coil is moved linearly towards and away from the fixed coil whilst remaining parallel to the fixed coil by a rotatable screw d, Fig. 1, engaging a nut or the like on a guide g for the movable coil-holder j and is also rotatable about a pin on the guide, g by a fixed adjustable rack m engaging a pinion k on the holder j at a point in its linear path. The guide g may be threaded to engage the screw d, or the point of the pin may engage the screw d, or the points of the pin and of a second pin r, Fig. 4, in the guide g may be cupped to receive balls q, s engaging the screw d. The guide g is extended laterally to abut against or surround rods h in the frame a carrying the fixed coil-holder band the rack m is adjustable along a slot o in a rail n in the frame a and is held in position by a screw or bolt.
