Abstract

252,471. Levy, L. A. March 3, 1925. Spindle apparatus. - A slotted cap g for use in spinning artificial silk in capframes is provided with a conical base h, and an opposed cone i is arranged coaxially therewith so that a space of about an eighth of an inch is left for the passage of the filaments which contact only with the lower edge of the cap. Slots j are provided in the cone i to permit the passage of the driving-belt as the bobbin is raised and lowered.
