Abstract
251,911. Rosenstein, G. H. Jan. 26, 1926. Magnifying-appliances. - A device, for use in counting threads in fabrics comprises a box 11 having a ground glass window 44, an electric lamp 18 beneath the window, a chamber for a battery 13, and a chamber for the counting apparatus proper 24 which, when in use, is held by a clip 35 on the top of the box. The apparatus 24 is pivoted at 32 and has a bevelled and graduated edge 30 which rests on the fabric positioned above the window 44. A pointer 43 on a carriage 42 traversed by a screw 38 is moved over the fabric and the number of threads passed over between the divisions of the scale 30 counted. A magnifying glass 26 is provided.
