Abstract
A rubber sleeve apparatus 5, and method pertaining to the use thereof, specifically adapted for the recovery of a conical socket component of a fall arrest system in which the socket is embedded in a concrete column 4, whereby the conical socket is clad in the rubber sleeve 5 prior to insertion into the concrete column casting arrangement to form a barrier between the concrete and the conical socket. The sleeve is characterised by a wax seal barrier 2 containing mould oil. The sleeve 5 is arranged to enable the release of the conical socket out from the concrete when required.

Descriptions
1. Figure 1 shows the shape of the conical sleeve this sleeve will cover a conical tube that will be placed in a column. Using the conical sleeve will allow the reuse of the conical tube after the decking has been placed. The sleeve will have a small amount of mould oil sealed with wax at the bottom of the sleeve, when the tube is inserted it will break the wax seal and spread around the tube. The top of the sleeve will be 75mm in diameter, 850mm in length and the bottom section will be 50mm in diameter. The sleeve and the tube must be located in the centre of the column. The sleeve will be constructed of rubber so it may stretch and form a good fit.
* 2. Figure 2 shows the wax seal that holds the small amount of mould oil in the bottom of the sleeve, when the conical tube is inserted it will break the seal and spread around the tube is will make it easy to remove the tube after use.
3. Figure 3 shows the radius of the sleeve the thickness is 3mm diameter 75mm.
4. Figures 4,5 and 6 shows the conical sleeve inside the concrete column with the timber decking around it.
7. Figure land 8 shows the lip that will be used to remove the sleeve from the concrete column and it shows the prior art how it works and where the conical sleeve is located.
