Vices.-In a vice of the type adapted for swivelling on conical bearing surfaces attached to a bench 1 by a forked arm 11 integral with a rocker 9 so that the swivelling axis is arranged some distance in front of the bench, the rocker contains a conical or tapered spigot member 8 depending from the base 6 of the vice while a screw 10 secures the spigot in swivelled position in the rocker.
