Abstract

249,404. Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges., and D÷ring, F. Sept. 3, 1925. Flat-strip cables; cables with special facilities for branching.-An electric cable of the ribbon type prepared from continuous conductors and with a number of branches protruding from the cable at one side is so constructed that the branches form a continuous row. For this purpose the conductors 1 are sesured between rhomboidal sheets of insulation 2, Fig. 1, folded as shown in Fig. 3 and folded again about the middle lines of the sheets as shown in Fig. 4. The edge free from loops may be protected by hollow ribs 3. The loops 4 protruding from the edge of the conductor are brought into the plane of the conductor as shown in Fig. 4.
