Abstract

A pneumatic transport bag for use within a pneumatic tube system comprises at least one external captive flap (C) which inflates in use, making a seal and pulling the bag through to its final destination. The bag may be two-way, having two external flaps or single direction in operation.

Description

Pneumatic transport bag This invention allows for any paper, documents or currency in notes to be pulled through a pneumatic tube system.
The current transport containers used are heavier and therefore take more energy to move them through the system.
Current transport containers are either plastic pods or material bags, they move through the system as the air being pulled through the system becomes trapped behind them therefore pushing the container as it moves.
The bag uses the external captive flaps to capture the air being pulled through the system to inflate, these sections then increase to the size of tube being used making a seal and then pulling the bag to the final destination, using less energy to travel as the bag is lighter than the current containers.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which The overall bag dimensions are dependant on the size of tube used on the pneumatic system the bag will be used on.
Figure 1 shows a one way bag with one external captive flap with an adhesive strip to seal the bag, the area for print to be added and a tear line to ease opening of the bag. This bag is constructed from one length of sheet material.
Figure 2 shows a one way bag with two external captive flaps with an adhesive strip to seal the bag, the area for print to be added and a tear line to ease opening of the bag. This bag is constructed from one length of sheet material with an additional flap added to it.
Figure 3 shows a two way bag with two external captive flaps with an adhesive strip to seal the bag, the area for print to be added and a tear line to ease opening of the bag. This bag is constructed from one length of sheet material with an additional flap added to it.
In figurel, A is the open bag end for insertion of material to be transported. B is the area where print can be added. C is the area where the external flap can be located. D is the area where the adhesive strip can be located. E is the area where the tear line can be positioned.
In figure2, A is the open bag end for insertion of material to be transported. B is the area where print can be added. C is the area where the external flaps can be located. D is the area where the adhesive strip can be located. E is the area where the tear line can be positioned.
In figure 3, A is the open bag end for insertion of material to be transported. B is the area where print can be added. C is the area where the external flaps can be located. B is the area where the adhesive strip can be located. £ is the area where the tear line can be positioned.

Claims (1)

  1. <claim-text>Claims 1. The pneumatic transport bag is a bag manufactured from plastic or a similar material that can be made into a functioning container and with its captive flap design will allow the system it is used onto become more energy efficient as the bag uses the system air flow in a more dynamic way.</claim-text> <claim-text>2. The pneumatic transport bag with its captive flap design wi speed up the systems it is used on as the weight of the bag will ensure the operating time will be less than compared to the current containers.</claim-text> <claim-text>3. The pneumatic transport bag can be single or multiple usages.</claim-text>
