Abstract

248,270. Fornaca, G. Sept. 10, 1925. Radiators, arrangement and disposition of; cooling radiators, air blast and deflectors for. - A gilled tubular water-cooLing radiator 2, preferably comprising detachable elements, is mounted in openings in the roof 1 of a rail motor-car or like vehicle, and cooling-air is drawn in by a fan 3 through perforated screens 4 at the sides of the roof and discharged upwardly through the radiator. The fan is preferably surrounded by a funnel-shaped casing 5 and its hub is formed with a flange 8 to guard the opening in a casing 7 through which the fan motor shaft passes. the casing 7 protects the motor from rain and moisture dripping from the cooler and is extended to the sides of the roof chamber.
