Abstract

An instantaneous electric water heater assembly 6 comprises a housing and an electrical connection element 10 for connection to an external source of electrical power and through which power is supplied to the assembly. The connection element is moveable between a plurality of positions within the housing whereby, during installation of the assembly, the connection element can be moved to a position which corresponds, or is close to, or is otherwise suitable and convenient, in relation to the location of an existing source of electrical power. Preferably, the connection element is moveable between two positions 11, 16 which are disposed on opposite sides of the inside 5 of the housing, where the positions may be defined by locating elements by which the connection element is advantageously secured to the housing. In a further aspect, a power distribution arrangement for an electrical device is disclosed.
