Abstract

A microwavable cooking tray comprises several insets (1A) incorporated within the tray. Several attachments (as shown in figures 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) may be inserted into the insets of the tray, depending on the foodstuff to be cooked. The attachments may support e.g. bacon, sausages, tomatoes and mushrooms. Supporting food such as bacon above the tray allows fat to drain off and be collected in the tray. The unit provides the facility of enabling to cook a full meal, such as a cooked breakfast, in the microwave, allowing the fat to drain away from the food and collect into the tray.

Description

Title: Microwavable cooking tray with Accessories
Background:
Cooking a Traditional full English breakfast, or any meal, can be time consuming, creates a lot of mess whilst cooking with various pots and frying pans and utensils, using several hobs at the same time, creates oil splatters and results in a full fat meal.
Then there is the washing up to do after the meal and cleaning of the kitchen surfaces.
A very messy option of cooking an unhealthy meal.
State of invention: To overcome this, the present invention proposes a microwavable tray consisting of several insets incorporated within the tray, which can allow various attachments which are included, to fit securely on these insets for stability.
This tray with all the attachments is a complete unit, and will allow for a full English breakfast (i.e. bacon, sausage, egg. tomatoes, mushrooms) to be cooked in the microwave in a matter of minutes, reducing cooking time, without the use of various oils, pots and frying pans, several hobs being used at the same time and no splatter or mess.
The invention is designed in such a way that whist cooking, all excess fats are allowed to drip freely into the tray, resulting in a much healthier way of eating. This is primarily aimed at cooking a full English breakfast, however it can also be used for cooking other meals consisting of kebabs, chops and steaks or even vegetables. Not just a cooking utensil, it also serves the purpose of heating a complete Indian meal or other such. The cooking options are limitless.
The easiest way to clean a tray of fat is to pour boiling water into the tray before washing. The complete cooking tray unit inclusive of all attachments, is light and compact, also dishwasher proof, versatile and is easy storage.
Advantages: The cooking tray, which has two lips on either side to allow for safe handling, together with all the detachable attachments can be placed in the inset of the tray as in figure 1A. The attachments can be mixed and matched according to the individual's preference in cooking. So the tray could be used solely for making bacon (bacon sandwiches) where several of the "T" bars (Figure 5ABC) could be used at one time, or sausages (for baps) where a maximum of 4 racks (Figure 2/7) can be used. Extra attachments can be obtained separately. The cooking tray unit comes complete with two "T" bars Figures (5ABC), 2 racks (Figure 2/7), 1 spire (Figure 5DEF), two toothed heads (Figure 6/7), and 4 containers complete with lids (Figure 3/7 and 4/7).
The idea is that the food is cooked in a suspended environment allowing for the fat to drip freely and collect into the tray providing a more healthier option of eating the same full fat meal but without the fat and in a fraction of the conventional time of cooking. 2.
-Introduction to drawings:
-Figure 1/7 shows the tray, -Figure 1 A shows the 12 insets incorporated spaciously within the tray. The insets have been purposely placed in these positions to allow maximum usage of all attachments.
-Figure lB shows the upright sides of the tray which allow for all fats to be contained within the tray without spillage.
-Figure 1C shows the rim on the base of the tray to provide stability.
-Figure 1 D shows the lip on either side of the tray to allow for safe handling.
-Figure 2/7 is a raised rectangle rack showing 24 spikes protruding from the base upwards for the purpose for placing meats and such to allow to cook whist being supported by the spikes. The fat drips onto the platform which then slides into the tray.
-Figure 2A are the 24 plastic spikes with slightly pointed tips.
-Figure 2B is the base which is slightly arched in the middle to allow the fat to slide off into the tray.
-Figure 2C are the insets underneath the rack which are placed securely on the insets of the tray to provide stability.
-Figure 3/7 shows the lid of the container.
-Figure 3A shows a little lip surrounding the lid to enable the lid to fit securely on the container.
-Figure 3B shows a hole in the lid to allow for evaporation and air circulation.
-Figure 4/7 shows the container.
-Figure 4A shows the lip surrounding the container to allow the lid to fasten on securely.
-Figure 4B shows the inset on the base of the container which is placed securely on the insets of the tray to provide stability.
-Figure 4C shows the legs of the container which allows the container to be raised and free from the fat accumulating on the tray.
-Figure 5/7 shows the "T" bar and the Spire.
-Figure 5A shows the bar which serves the purpose of allowing foods such as bacon to hang over the bar to allow for the dripping of the fat whilst being cooked in the microwave.
-Figure SB shows the stern supporting 5A of the "T" bar.
-Figure SC shows the base of the "T" bar which is placed securely into the insets of the tray. 3.
-Figure 5D shows the base of the spire which is placed securely into the insets of the tray.
-Figure 5E shows the change in width from top to bottom to enable Figure 6 to sit securely halfway.
-Figure 5F shows the top of the spire which is a slightly pointed (not sharp) tip, this serves the purpose of allowing a tomato or other such foods to be pierced through then sits on Figure 6 securely.
-Figure 6/7 shows the toothed heads which sits halfway on the spire (Figure 5E) once threaded through.
-Figures 6A and 6C shows two variations of teeth size on the heads which allow foods such as tomatoes to sit securely and not slip down.
-Figure 6B and 6D are the holes at the bottom of the heads where the tip of the spire (Figure 5F) is threaded through towards the teeth. The toothed heads (either one) then sits halfway at figure 5E.
-Figure 7/7 shows the tray with all attachments as a complete unit.
-Figure 7A shows where the four containers (Figure 4/7) complete with lid (Figure 3/7) are to be placed.
-Figures 7B shows where the racks (Figure 2/7) are to be placed ideally. The two insets on Figure 2/7 will also easily fit into the insets provided for the containers to allow for 4 racks to be used simultaneously.
-Figure 7CDF shows the insets which have been allocated for the "T" bar (in Figure 5/7) this is on the basis that all four containers (Figure 4/7) and both racks (Figure 2/7)and two spires (Figure 5/7) are being used simultaneously, however any insets can be used for the "T" bar in Figure 7.
-Figure 7DE shows the insets which have been allocated for the spire (Figure 5/7) this is on the basis that all four containers (Figure 4/7) and both racks (Figure 2/7) and both "T" bars (Figure 5/7) are being used simultaneously, however any insets can be used for the spire (Figure 5/7). 4.
