Abstract

A camera control system (100) comprises a handheld control unit (110) and a camera head (130) which communicate via a receiver unit (120). The camera head comprises a camera (131) and camera motion control means (132). The control unit comprises a plurality of motion sensing means (111). The system allows the user to move the control unit (110) according to their desire and thus see the movements replicated by the camera (131). This allows a handleld camera effect to be achieved when it is impractical or dangerous for a cameraman to operate a camera directly.
