Abstract

246,285. Summerfield, J. Dec. 23, 1924. Bolt .operated indirectly from key.-Latches operated by a two-armed follower pivoted to the casing and turned by the key, are directly engaged by the follower, which is pivoted on an axis either in front of or in rear of the key-pin and on the centre line of the casing. The latch A has a gapped centre allowing it to move with respect to the key pin D and pivot E, upon which turns the follower c. Arms d on the follower engage the horns a on the latch to withdraw it. A stump on the follower may cooperate with levers having a symmetrical gating F.
