Abstract
A magnetic filtration and separation device comprising a clear housing bowl. Preferably a female twist and lock quick release spigot, feeds into an internal sleeve and a magnetic element held by a male twist and lock quick release spigot slides into the internal sleeve. The clear housing may be manufactured with a 3 degree inclination for the purpose of separation. Preferably the housing is provided with a removable top which incorporates an inlet and outlet in a vertical position. The removable top may also incorporate a brass pressure relief valve, together with an integral bracket. The magnetic element may take the form of magnetic sticks containing rare cylindrical earth magnets. When in use, the magnets filter the flow and extract unwanted ferrous particles. Advantageously the device is used in various applications for the extraction of fine ferrous particles, such as rust and magnetite, from fluids conveyed by pipelines, water heaters, boilers and radiators.
Description
Dewlotlon A magnetic filtration and separation device designed for the continuous extraction of ferrous and magnetic particles from liquid based applications.
Encased In a housing comprising of an inlet and outlet, the magnetic separator Is also capable of separating a high percentage of paramagnetic particles. The magnetic separator is designed to be externally removed from the housing by using a twist and lock mechanism on the underside of the housing. The inlet and outlet are designed to ensure a continuous flow at all times.
A magnetic filtration and separation device comprising a clear housing bowl 1, with a female twist and lock quick release spigot 2, whIch feeds into an Internal sleeve 3.
The clear housing is manufactured with a 3 degree inclination as a design necessity for the purpose of the separation to function efficiently.
The housing Is also provided with a removable top 4 whith incorporates an inlet 8 and outlet 9 In a vertical position.
The removable top 4 also incorporates a brass pressure relief valve 5, together wIth a manufactured integral bracket 10 withIn the top face and at angle of 90 degrees to the flat face.
The magnetic element 6 comprIses of a male twist and lock quick release spigot 7 which holds the magnetic element 6 and slides into the Internal sieeve 3.
Sealed magnetic sticks containing rare cylindrical earth magnets, arranged in a manner that produce maximum effect. When In use, the magnets filter the flow and extract unwanted ferrous particles.
The magnetic element 6 is designed so as not to have the top edge of the stick magnetised, allowing a continuous flow of water at all times, due to the positioning of the inlet and outlet ri the removable top 4.
The 0' ring 11 is manufactured from materials that will withstand high temperatures and sits within the dear housing bowl 1.
The device may be used In various applications for the extraction of fine ferrous particles, such as rust and magnetite, from fluids conveyed by pipelines, water heaters, boilers and radiators.
