Abstract

A card is provided that is adapted to be attached to a bottle. The card is supplied flat and is erected into a cylindrical card tube with a retaining strap that holds the bottle within it. The card is not adhered to the bottle and so no damage is caused to the bottle or its labels. The card when printed becomes a vehicle for art work, imagery, messages, marks and as a system for holding other printed materials. The card will be used for adorning bottles that are gifts, being used for a special function or being used at a special function. Once the card is removed from the bottle and the safety strap is returned to original position, flush against the card, the card becomes a cylindrical greeting card.

Description

Riveted bottle card / 2456209 This invention relates to a device that wraps around bottles which can be used to convey a message or to display a message, artwork, image, mark or statements.
When a person buys bottles as a gift, for a special occasion or to use at a special occasion wrapping paper a card and or other decoration may be used.
However these have little practical or esthetic uses. Often looking unattractive and inelegant. They also have very little thought into the safety of the transportation of the bottle.
To overcome these problems the present invention proposes to wrap the main body of the bottle in a card with an attaching adhesive strip, said strip only attaches to the card and not to the bottle, a flip down riveted safety strap holds the bottle in place. The adhesive strip attaches to the card and therefore causes no damage to the bottles labels or to the bottle itself. The flip down riveted safety strap suspends the bottle in the card and prevents the bottle from moving down and out of the card. The riveted safety strap can be flipped back into place and the card removed from the bottle leaving the receiver with an attractive cylindrical card.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 Shows the front of the card with the riveted attachments Figure 2 Shows the back of the card with the self adhesive strip, safety strap and rivet attachments Figure 3 Shows the card being applied to a bottle.
Figure 4 Shows the safety strap being engaged.
The invention is supplied flat to the consumer ( See Fig I & 2) and the shape and form is created when around a bottle (See Fig 3 & 4). The invention is constructed and designed to be flat so as to save on space and costs when displaying and transporting (See Fig I & 2).
The shape and form of the invention is created when a bottle is placed on that back of the card (See Fig 1) The card and bottle are then rolled together ( See Fig 3) onto the self adhesive strip (See Fig 2 -2.3 and Fig 3 -3.3). The riveted safety strap is then flipped out ( See Fig 4 -4.1) holding the bottle in place. The riveted safety strap mechanism is created by placing a strip of card (See Fig 2-2.1, Fig 3-3.2 and Fig 4 -4.1) and holding in place with rivets (See Fig I -1.1, Fig 2-2.2, Fig 3 -3.1 and Fig 4 -4.2). The safety strap mechanism is not and will not activate till the card is in a cylindrical shape ( See Fig 3 & 4).

  3. 3. A bottle card that is used for bottles as in claim 2. Is also card that can be used as a greeting.
    card to convey a message or a greeting.
  4. 4. A bottle card that is used for bottles as in claim 2. Is also a vehicle for art work and imagery to be displayed
  5. 5. A bottle card that is used on bottles as in claim 4. Is also a vehicle to hold printed materials by way of die cuts on a the said cards.
  6. 6. A bottle card that is used on bottles as in daim 5. Is also used as adornment on tables
  7. 7. A bottle card that is used on bottles as in claim 6. Is also used as a method of adornment for tables at specific special events where a bottle is present on the tables.
  8. 8. A bottle card that is used on bottles as in claim 8, 7, 4 & 2 is also a vehicle for shape and form to be added to by using die cutting technique.
    8. A bottle card that is used on bottles as in claim 5, 4 & 3 is also a vehicle for art work and corporate imagery and marks.
