Abstract

245,607. Hudson, E. S. Jan. 23, 1925. Racket presses.-A combined press and case for tennis and like rackets comprises a pair of metallic clamping frames of substantially the same outline as the bow or head portion of the racket the outside edges of the frames being flanged so as to envelop the rim of the racket, and the spaces enclosed by the frames being provided with panels of waterproof material. The press is shown in the open position in the Figure and comprises two flanged metal frames a, b panelled with waterproof material h and adapted to be clamped upon the racket by means of hinged bolts c. The frames are shaped at the portions g to embrace the shoulders of the racket. A strip j of india-rubber makes a waterproof joint between the frames. A waterproof covering k may be drawn over the handle and attached to the frame b by a detachable fastening.
