Abstract

245,295. Lewis, A. Feb. 3, 1925. Iris diaphragms. - A headlight is provided with an iris diaphragm operated from the driver's seat and mounted together with a front lens in a housing 2 detachably secured by a clamping-ring 14 to the body of the lamp. The shutter comprises am - shaped plates located between one rotatable ring and pivoted to one ring and engaging a radial slot in the other ring. Arms 11 on the rotatable rings of a pair of headlights may be connected together by a rod 15 operated through an endless wire from a hand-lever.
