Abstract

An insect or spider catching device has a funnel A which may be placed over or near the creature to be picked up. The device has a filter B which prevents the creature from being sucked into the device. The catcher is electrically powered via rechargeable batteries H. A fan provides the suction effect. One or more extension poles may be connected to a slot C and a carrying handle F may be provided. The insect or spider is caught and retained within the funnel via the suction action. When it is desired to release the insect the suction is switched off and the device is inverted. The creature then falls from the funnel.
