Abstract

A solar powered illuminated house number comprises laser cut numbers or letters on a outer casing 1 which is attached to an internal transparent unit 2. The internal unit contains a solar panel 5, light sensor 6, battery container 7, led light 8, control circuit board 10, and wall fixing tabs 9. A removable lid may be provided 4 to allow easy battery changing. Contrasting materials may be used to enhance visibility in daylight.

Description

1 2452713 Solar illuminating house numbers / name plates This invention relates to a device for identifying and locating Address numbers during night hours.

When vital emergency services taxis or deliveries or just friends need to find an address it is often very difficult to see the numbers resulting in lost time which could be vital minutes especially in the case of paramedics searching to aid someone.

To overcome this the invention proposes a wall light with laser cut numerals or letters which emits light provided by led using solar energy.

The use of contrasting materials allows the number to be visible in daylight then self illuminating at night which in turn aids anyone trying to locate a building or house An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings.

Figure 1 show's the outer casing which is fabricated and the number cut out.

Figure 2 show's the transparent internal unit to which the outer casing fig I will be attached to.

Figure 1 see drawing I of 2 is a prefabricated casing (1) with laser cut or punched numeral or letter ( 2) to allow light to pass though, it is attached to figure 2 the transparent internal lighting unit (3).

Figure 2 has a detachable lid (4) to allow access to change the battery. a solar panel (5) to charge the battery and light sensor ( 6) to allow automatic switching on or off. a battery unit ( 7) and led light ( 8) Wall attachment tags ( 9) at rear top and bottom.
