Abstract

Cop type apparatus comprises a cylinder 13 composed of a number of pivoted segmental plates through which pass perforated tubes 26 upon which the cops 27 are mounted. The cylinder is mounted within a stationary casing 1, upon a shaft 9 rotatable in opposite directions by bevel gearing 19. 20. The shaft is hallow and is perforated for that portion of its length within the cylinder 13 and below a hollow cylinder 17 provided to economize the dye, which is circulated from the hollow shaft and is withdrawn by pipes 7.
