Open fireplaces. - Cast - iron mantel register grates having side members or jambs 5 projecting outwardly from the wall, are provided near the rear edges of the outer faces of these members with integral flanges 2, which overlie the broken plaster at the joint. A perforation for a securing nail may be provided in each flange.
