244,374. Atkins, H. F., and British Cutlery Research Association. Sept. 9, 1925. Cuttery and l i k e blades. -Blades for pruning - knives and pivoted blades or spring knives, &c. are made in pairs from a strip of metal which is given a tapering cross section by a milling or other operation, as shown in Fig. 2, the ends being left plain to form the tang portions. The strip is then bent into an arc with the tapered edge outwards as shown in Fig. 3 and cut along the dotted lines to form two blades for a pivoted blade or spring knife; for pruning-blades the strip is bent with the tapered edge inwards.
