Abstract

An alarm component such as a bell box is formed from a pair of interconnected moulded plastic parts (10) held together by complementary locking members (13, 26) provided around the edge of each respective part which engage to lock the edges together. The parts (10, 24) are finally secured by a screw fastener. To avoid loss of the fastener, the fastener is held captive within the structure of one part of one component and operation of the fastener acts to secure or release the locking members (13, 26) thereby allowing or preventing access to the interior of the component.
