Abstract
An illuminated sign is formed with LEDs 6 to provide the illumination and is in the form of an illuminated house number or letter, or an illuminated roadside warning triangle (Fig. 6). The LEDs may be continuously illuminated or they may flash. If formed as an illuminated house number this flashing may be used to indicate an emergency and to help emergency services locate the house. The sign is preferably adapted to be powered from an external power supply such as a mains power supply or a cigarette lighter socket of a vehicle.
Description

I

House Finder BadcEround The house finder is a house numbering/naming system designed to light up during darkness. The devise can be switched to flashing mode in case of emergency or to assist visitors to find the house. The same technology can be used to create a warning triangle fbr roadside emergency.

Statement of invention

The numbers or words etc will automatically light up during hours of darkness. The house number can also be seen in daylight.

I. Plasticnumberso-9,lettersA-Zvaryinsizeandcolour 2. Coloured number/letter has LEDs inseited 3. Clear number/letter is placed on top -has holes to allow LEDs to be seen clearly 4. Circuit inlaid into coloured numbers or letters Numbers/letters -dear numbers/letters lay on top of coloured. The coloured number/letter has fine holes for the LEDs wire to go through the hole to link with others to fbrm the circuit A clear number with corresponding holes (so that the LEDs can be seen) is laid on top. Numbers/letters can be attached on to a base or directly on to a door.

The LEDs are linked together by wire creating a circuit NumbersrangeO-9andlettersA-Z The same principle applies to the emergency roadside warning triangle to be used in event of accident or breakdown Plugs in to the cigarette lighter and can be either a fixed or flashing light Advantaaes The house numbers can also be seen in the daylight Enables visitors/tradesmen etc to find house at night The LEDs can flash to inform doctors, emergency service or neighbours of an emergency -to easily identif, house.

Saves energy by only coming on during darkness Itissafe-runson5-l2volts

Detailed Description

The numbers can be fixed to a base plate or directly on to a door or other suitable surface.

The numbers ire light sensitive and automatically light up in darlmess. The numbers/letters can be set to flash if required -fbi example if waiting for a doctor or visitor. The house finder runs on 5-12 volts which is both safe and environmentally friendly. cm
