Abstract

The absorber silencer of the compressor of an exhaust gas turbocharger is mounted in the area of the flow duct downstream from the compressor wheel. The absorption silencer can be mounted in front of or after the guiding device or as an integral component thereof at the height of this guiding device. The inventive realization of the secondary measures directly lead, at the source, to the existence of only a few undamped areas that dominate the entire emission.
