Abstract

A combination desk lamp, pen/pencil holder and stationery organiser comprising a base plate 10, a stand 12, a tubular body 14 and a light socket and switch assembly 16. The plate 10 is further equipped with three sections for holding various items of stationery and the stand 12 has a number of bushes 18 for holding pens or pencils.

DESK LAMP WITH A PLATE AND A STAND

This invention relates to a desk lamp with a plate and a stand.

A desk lamp is a well known electrical contrivance for lighting up. There are so many different types of desk lamps, but in general they comprise of a base, upon which a body, normally having a form of a pipe, is mounted, leading a cable to the socket, where a bulb is placed.

As described, the desk lamp is used only for lighting, as the base of the lamp is used only for fixing the body with the other parts, and for stabilizing the lamp to the surface.

According to the present invention there is a desk lamp with a plate and a stand provided, comprising of a plate with three sections, as a means for keeping stationery - clips, pins, rubbers etc. A stand consist of three steps is mounted on the plate, where each step is on the certain slope, as on all of the steps there are holes with bushes placed into them for keeping pens and pencils. Through a middle hole of the upper step (the third) a pipe is mounted, through which a cable passes, joining at the upper end of a pipe a socket with an on-off switch.

A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:- Figure 1 shows the desk lamp with a plate and a stand - view from the side; Figure 2 illustrates in perspective the desk lamp with a plate and a stand with a mounted bush; Figure 3 shows a perspective of the device only as a plate and a stand; Figure 4 shows the device only as a plate and a stand - view from the above.

Referring to the drawing the device comprises of a plate 10, on which a stand 12 is mounted, through which a pipe 14 passes, on the upper end of which a socket 16 with a on-off switch is mounted. On the stand 12 bushes 18 are mounted.

This device is used in version of a desk lamp with a plate and a stand, where all of the above described parts are mounted. Plate 10 with three sections, is used for keeping stationery - clips, pins, rubbers etc. Stand 12 in the form of a body with three steps on the slope, is mounted on plate 10. In the upper surface of each step of stand 12, holes in circle are placed, in which round bushes are mounted. Each step has respectively: first step -12 holes, second step - 8 holes, third step - 5 holes. Through a central hole of the upper step (the third) of the stand 12 a pipe 14 is mounted, where a cable passes, joining at the upper end of a pipe a socket 16 with an on-off switch.

Used as a desk lamp and for keeping stationery, pens and pencils.

This device is used only as a plate and a stand, where not all of the above described parts are mounted. In this case only plate 10, stand 12 with bushes 18 fixed into all of the holes, are mounted.

2. A desk lamp with a plate and a stand, as claimed in Claim 1, where a pipe and a socket with an on-off switch is mounted or is not mounted on the stand, as when the pipe is not mounted there is only a plate and a stand, as a means for keeping stationery, pens and pencils.

3. A desk lamp with a plate and a stand or only as a plate and a stand, as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2, where a plate of three sections is used, as a means for the base of the device and for keeping stationery.

4. A desk lamp with a plate and a stand or only as a plate and a stand, , as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2, where a stand is used, as a means for the base of the device and for keeping pens and pencils.

5. A desk lamp with a plate and a stand or only as a plate and a stand, as claimed in Claim 1, Claim 2 and Claim 4, where bushes are used, as a means for keeping pens and pencils.
