Abstract
An arrangement is described for attenuating or interfering with a mobile phone signal such that it emulates a weak or bad signal area. The signal may be disrupted or depleted without total signal failure. The device may be waved in close proximity to the phone aerial giving the impression that the mobile phone is in a weak signal area. The device may be electronically independent of the mobile phone and may include controllable interference, adjusted by a dial. The device may comprise lead or alloy materials, plastic and batteries. The device may be compact such that it easily fits within a pocket. The device may be used to excuse ending an unwanted call.

75- at t) 'late to,} \ OWN ALES (SID) Please don't be misled by the title. This invention merely disrupts the signal, never causing total signal failure.
When the 'user' is either busy or in an unwanted mobile phone conversations they can operate the SID by waving it in close proximity to their mobile phone aerial. This will cause a minor signal failure; which will lead the 'caller' to believe that the 'user' is in a bad signal area. ; allowing the 'user' to make their excuses and end the car].
Preferably I'd like the SiD to be electronically ir.dependent. My initial research will be testing materials such as alloys and lead. Though, these materials may lack the suitable conductivity that eler, ronic components may provide. Further research. may introduce features such as controllable interference.
Dimensions Credit card size or similar, allowing the 'user' to carry it easily in their pocket.
Claims (1)
- Claims A device that actually proactively depletes the signal allowing the'user' to end the call at their own discretion. The device is waved or encloses the mobile phone's aerial so it causes a mild signal failure, simulating a bad signal area. The device will have an adjustable interference dial.Comprising of materials such as Lead, alloy(s) '3 amp batteries, plastic etc
