Abstract

241,596. Gosden, A. Aug. 23. 1924. Roofing tiles. - Comprises a roofing-tile in which the flat lower portion A extending for approximately one half of its length is in the same plane as a narrow ridge or border A' running all round the edge of the remainder of the tile, the whole of the surface bounded by the ridge forming a single wedgeshaped depression B tapering from zero at a line adjacent to the flat portion of the tile to a maximum depth at the margined end B<2>. In a modified construction, a series of such wedge-shaped depressions are formed one above the other. The under surface of the tile is formed in a complementary manner to the upper surface, to secure substantially even thickness throughout the whole body of the tile. The upper part of the tile may be polygonal or rounded in shape instead of rectangular.
