Abstract
241,175. Frankensteiner Magnesitwerke Akt.-Ges., (Assignees of Kattner, R.). Oct. 11, 1924, [Convention date]. Composition fuel. - In utilizing magnesia cement for briquetting fuel, the coal dust or the like is first treated with ground magnesium chloride and an amount of water necessary for briquetting is added. Calcined magnesia is only added when the mixture is ready to be moulded. In an example two per cent of calcined magnesia, ground to a fineness corresponding to a sieve of 900 meshes per sq. c.m. and containing 70-80 per cent of magnesium oxide capable of setting, is added to a mixture of coal dust and about 1 per cent of magnesium chloride, whereupon the mass is briquatted.
