Abstract

240,727. Myatt, W. J. March 13, 1925. Addition to 233,445. Razors, safety. The tilting stirrup and associated parts of the parent Specification are replaced by a turn-button or its equivalent carrying one or more pins which engage small perforations in the blade to determine which face thereof shall be presented to the face when shaving. As shown the turn-button 14 is mounted beneath the guard or holder 5 and carries pins 15, 16 which engage small perforations in the blade 1; the pins pass through slots 19, 20 in the guard and the position of the pins in the slots determines the side of the blade presented to the face. The turnbutton may be mounted on the clamping-plate 21; the guard or plate 21 may have depressions to accommodate the ends of the pins 15, 16. To give an additional indication of the side of the blade to be used, the names of the alternate days of the weels may be marked on opposite sides of the blade.
