240,581. Beckett, Laycock, & Watkinson, Ltd., and Harrison, C. E. July 15, 1924. Lathing.-Corrugated sheet metal is formed by first bending the sheet so that the side walls of the corrugations are set at their final angles relatively to the margins of the respective, intermediate, pieces 16 by bending them through angles less than right-angles towards their final positions, and at the same time bending the margins out of the plane of the plate, and secondly, expanding the intermediate portions which have been distorted by the first operation, laterally in the plane of the sheet, at the same time allowing the side walls to move with and preserve their angular settings with the margins of the intermediate portions. Shaped rollers are provided for the first operation and flattening rollers for the subsequent one. Specifications 22321/01, [Class 83, Metals, Cutting &c.], and 4811/14 are referred to.
